Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is an avid film critic who reviews Z-graded films typically in the martial arts or horror genres. Her style and approach are very similar to The Cinema Snob. However she prefers to review crappy action movies with a morbid fascination. After earning some recognition through the channels of Channel Awesome (under her previous username Obscurus Lupa), she began to review films in the latter half of 2009. She was on the website from 2009 until the year 2015 which is when Obscurus Lupa Presents was changed to Movie Nights. Two of her podcasts are co-hosted and covering Charmed. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. Brad Jones starred her in Jesus Bro! as well as appearing on his series Midnight Screenings typically reviewing terrible children's films or RiffTrax live programs in addition to the occasional adult comedy (including obviously Baywatch (2017)). In late 2009 she began to write reviews of films and gained popularity in the Channel Awesome forums. She was then accepted into the network's family of movie critics. She's been featured on many Channel Awesome episodes, including Atop the Fourth Wall as in Phelous & the Movies. She was once a member of the Channel Awesome family alongside Doug Walker and would often appear in episodes of the Nostalgia Critic.
